Niall is a registered Doctor of Chiropractic
with the General Chiropractic Council.
A professional standing that requires 5 years of full-time study. He has since specialised in Sports Chiropractic and works as a sports chiropractor in Wimbledon SW19.
Sports Chiropractic is an elite group of Chiropractors who now treat a range of different professional athletes. They combine their advanced skills and knowledge to offer physio muscle tuning in conjunction with joint manipulation.
This covers your whole mechanics rather than focusing on just your muscles. Sports Chiropractic is a technique that sees professionals such as Bradley Wiggins & Tiger Woods to peak performance.
His training includes musculoskeletal radiology giving a greater scope of understanding to your joints and ligaments.
In 2010, his keen interest in sports-related injuries lead Dr Marshall-Manifold to become a practitioner of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT). This is a pioneering, non-electrical, therapy for tendon pain in the limbs.
Using our specialist ESWT unit at the Wimbledon Sports Injury Clinic he currently performs the treatment for a range of conditions.
Previously Dr Marshall-Manifold trained through the renowned American Council of Exercise program for personal trainers.
He has also undertaken rehabilitation work with special populations (post-surgical & congenital physical disabilities groups).
Currently, his rehab focus is on back and neck rehabilitation and how it betters whiplash treatment (sports & Traffic accident types), a field that is expanding every year.
He is also a member of Back Care, the charity for healthier backs.
He is currently actively pursuing a Masters in musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound Imaging.
