What Can We Do For Emergency Clients?

1st and foremost, your emergency Chiropractor aims to diagnose you whether you have acute muscle strain or a bulging disc. We must diagnose this within our clinic's ability, but you may be referred to a scan in-house or through a local partner. And from this point, your severity will be graded, and a route treatment can start.

What's A Root Treatment?

Health is consistently built from the ground up, but a lot of emergency clients' spinal or body health has dropped below this threshold, much like the roots of a tree that provide nutrition to grow:

Root treatments are often used in delicate clients to get them started on a healthcare journey.

This may consist of the following:

  • Stabilisation with a prescription brace (after x-ray conformation of instability), K-taping the area and giving range-or-motion rehab in unstable cases.
  • A release approach, ' manipulation', stretch, arthro-stimulation or traction may be employed in more stable and compacted cases.

But every case is different, and you may have a trauma history and have elements of both types of musculoskeletal pains, so let your Doctor of Chiropractic guide you.

Can You Help My Case?

What Should I do To Help Myself?

The sooner we see you, the better; we can answer this question with a better degree of certainty after diagnosis.

And In the meantime, try to lightly move the limbs while supported (sitting or lying face up, use a small pillow if needed), and start to gauge what movement your body can do and what you cannot.

What About ICE & Heat?

Typically we would try to heat a muscle and ice an inflamed joint (rule of thumb). There are cases where both Ice and heat may make subjective pains feel worse, especially with the heat.

So experiment, but don't use either over 10 mins at any time and don't burn yourself!

Your practitioner will be interested to know if either heat or ice reduced your symptoms, even if it's just by 10 %.

Heat or ice may rarely make you objectively worse.
